It would be "ideal" to be able to run it on say 286 harware,
i.e. we do not really need Linux at bottom ...

How much RAM would need a "minimal" VNC client?
It looks like it could run over FreeDOS or MINIX
(or best ELKS as I love Linux :)
and run in real mode inside 1Mb (640K?)
Even b/w variant would be quite useful.

Another appealing goal is pocket computers like Psion.
Is anybody working on that?
