In general, this sounds like a networking problem.

There are several things to consider:

1- Is TCP/IP networking configured properly on both systems?
Can you ping from one system to the other? TCP/IP connectivity
is a basic requirement for TridiaVNC.

2- Is the TridiaVNC server running on the remote system? If the
remote system is Win32, then you should see the TridiaVNC icon
in the system tray. You can hover the mouse over the icon to
get the IP address of the server.

3- Is there a firewall or NAT between the viewer system and the
remote/server system? If so, then you will either need to open
and forward a port for TridiaVNC or provide some type of tunnel
          across the firewall/NAT/gateway.

4- Make sure you are connecting to the proper display on the
server system. If port 5900 was already taken, then the server
software (on Win32) will increment the port and try the next one.
You can lookup the current display in the User Setting/Properties
          dialog.
