It must be, but it's probably the only sensible use for the Cygwin
vncviewer :-)

Having a switch to override the "no loopback" check would be useful also
for testing VNC on a standalone machine. (You might want to test it
works with Win98, but your Win98 box has no network card, or something.)
 It would also make pretty patterns on the screen. If you added an
optional rotation angle (say 1 degree) to the VNC protocol, you could
get some pretty cool feedback effects.

It is possible to make a loop via two machines - get the viewer
displaying on machine A to connect to the server on machine B, and
vice-versa.
