That's not normal. I've never seen that happen. Are you running any
other unusual software? What version & service pack of NT are you
running?

WinVNC doesn't run under Linux, only under Win32 platforms.

Under Linux, I assume you're referring to Xvnc, the VNC X server, which is
an entirely different animal to WinVNC, because of the disparity between
Windows and XFree86 in terms of availability of hook points & source code.
