This means that you are connecting to the wrong port number. You're
pointing Internet Explorer at the port used by the VNC system for the VNC
protocol to run over, rather than the HTTP port. If you have a machine
running a display with number X then the VNC port is 5900+X and the HTTP
port is 5800+X.

So to connect to the servers through the java viewer, you need to use
ports in the range 5800-5899.
